$100,000 Progressive Bad Beat Jackpot starts October 1st!
Starting Wednesday, October 1st and continuing through to Thursday, January 8th, Planet Poker will add $1,000 to the bad beat jackpot every day! All our real money games qualify! For those of you who are not familiar with a Bad Beat Jackpot, this is a cash prize that is awarded when a strong hand is beaten by a longshot or improbable hand. The loser of the hand (or the player who is beaten), wins the majority of the winning jackpot prize - 50%. The winner of the hand wins 25%, and the remaining players at the table split 25%.
A progressive jackpot is a jackpot prize that continues to grow until it is won. Planet Poker will add $1,000 every day to the jackpot prize. Each day it isn't won, the jackpot is carried over to the following day and another $1,000 is added to the pot. Our largest jackpot prize awarded was $25,000!
Bad Beat Jackpots are extremely popular in cardrooms. The flash banner (shown below the $100K banner) will be updated each day at 6pm ET with the current bad beat jackpot so the players will always know the amount of the jackpot prize.
